My husband (69 years old) has had the Shingles rash for 10 days, started taking Valacyclovir HCL 1 gram every 8 hours for one week. The rash is on his bottom back and along the left side. This afternoon he now is swollen on the one side where the rash is (really swollen). Is this normal or what should we do?
I have been taking valacyclovir for shingles for 7 days, my outbreak was on my neck, back and left side of my chest during this time I had extreme headaches; today the headaches have subsided but now the pain is what I would describe as a sharp rolling internal pain, moving from my left side to the center of my back. Is this a normal pain like the headache for my singles outbreak.
Hello, I am female, 40. I was diagnosed with shingles 6 days ago and I am taking Valtrex. For the past few days I been having moderate to severe pain in my lower right abdomen and back... it started in my back, it s like a dimmer switch being turned up and down and has had me in tears . I don t know if it is because of the shingles, the medication or something unrelated. Hoping you can give me some advice, Thank you.
