Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain In My Ankle Area Radiating To The Knee

Hello, have had a pain in my ankle for over a month. It is sensitive to the touch, gives off a very sharp pain sensation and it hurts to walk on after being on it for a short period of time. At first it was just my ankle area, but know the pain is gong up the front of my leg to my knee. I haven t been to the doctor because of financial matters. If anyone could give me a possible idea of what it could possibly be that would be great!

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

With the history, it appears that there will be mild weakness in the spinal column leading to nerve root compression. Based on the type of the nerve root the dermatomes and the myotomes get involved. Hence, some simple spinal strengthening exercises and some yoga postures which should help you a lot from this symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
