My family just fostered a rescue Chihuahua dog (found him on side of the road) We had him at home for 24 hours , and then turned him over to a reputable rescue. They said because it appears that he has ringworm-(has not been tested yet) that we are all at risk for contracting ringworm. Besides washing everything that he touched-bedding etc... what are our chances of contracting ringworm which I know is a fungus. Thanks

I ve been having a metal taste in my mouth for about 6 months now....about 9 months ago we got a rescued dog which ended up having tape worms 6 feet long plus some other type of worm. The treatment took 3 - 4 months to clear up the dog....could I have gotten some sort of parasite? I taste metal and do not cook or eat with any metal and use foods not from metal containers.

Hi, last night my 30 year old daughter was bitten by a rescue dog she is fostering. The dog had gotten a rawhide treat off the floor that was given to the other dog. My daughter tried to pull the treat out of his mouth and he bit her. His tooth went completely through her fingernail. She nearly passed out from the pain. She got in touch with her doctor this morning and they said all she needs to do is get a tetnus shot. Are they correct? Thank you for your help.
