Hello. My 20 y.o. daughter was diagnosed with mono mid

Hello. My 20 y.o. daughter was diagnosed with mono mid July 2018. She was treated by family physician (with antibiotics) and rested for a few weeks and her bloodwork returned to normal in early September. Mid September she had all 4 of her impacted wisdom teeth extracted without incident and completed a course of prophylactic antibiotics. She is now away at school and has begun complaining of feeling bloated, decreased appetite and says she is "puffy" just under her left ribs. She recently had an URI as well but is over that. What should I suggest to her? What could be the cause?

My daughter is 17 and was diagnosed with active mono one year ago this month. She hasn t been the same since. SHe is still fatigued and doesn t have the same amount of energy. Her performance in sports has also declined. In October I requested some bloodwork from my doctor an OBGYN ) since the pediatrician never thinks theres anything wrong with my kids. I requested tests for T3 since I m low in free T3 and so is my other daughter who is 18. The results indicted low free T3 and low TSH . The doctor said the TSH is typically high in the case in low T3 so she wanted to recheck in 2 months. In the meantime I was giving my daughter liquid iodine drops. When she was retested in mid December the doctor also tested her mono again. Her T3 and TSH were even lower and she still had mono (she s had it for 10 months as of that bloodwork!). Her IGM was still positive and her IGG was also positive which the doctor said was a sign that she was starting to recouperate. The doctor tested her bloodwork again just 10 days ago (one year anniversary of being diagnosed with mono!) and she said that my daughters iron stores were very low (only 7 when they should be 20!) She said her Ferritan was in the normal range but she wanted to look closer to see if she had low iron. I m still waiting on the mono test and a few other things since they take longer. What is going on? How do I help my child to recover and feel better? I didn t think you could have mono for more than a year. Any help you can offer is appreciated.

daughter was diagnosed with mono. can she take nyquil with acetaminophen? Can she do light exercises, ie. swimming, walking. light weights? She feels fine. Just tired at night. She was exercising vigorously when the bloodwork came back and was shocked she had it.

My daughter was just diagnosed with mono due to her blood work. She also, though, has blood in her urine, which she is now on antibiotic to treat. Her doctor does not seem to know what the blood in the urine is from-believes it is a separate problem. Could the blood in urine be part of the mono? Thanks!
