Hello, I just had a endoscopy. Here are the EGD impressions: -Granularity, friability and erythema of gastroesophageal junction and middle third of esophagus. (Biopsy) -Esophageal hiatal hernia -Normal mucosa in the whole examined duodenum. (Biopsy) What does this mean?

The endoscopic findings of granularity, friability and erythema can be due to gastroesophageal reflux in esophagus. There is formation of esophageal hiatus hernia. However, the mucosa of esophagus is within normal limits.
Currently there is no microscopic abnormality, however, treatment of gastroesophageal reflux and esophageal hiatus hernia is required at the earliest.
