What Is The Cause For Brown Discharge When I Have A Week For My Periods?

Hello! I have a consern regarding my menstruación....I had sexual intercourse(protected) for the first time 49days ago ... I had my period normally last month but yesterday I had a brown discharge with cloths and it has been constant for 2 days ... I don t have any cramps or period pain as usually and my period is 29 long so is supposed to come in 6 more days ... what is this ?? I don t know if is my period

Hi,

Your history says you have brownish discharge with clots, which is normal. It could be a sign of preponed menstrual cycle due to the hormonal changes, an outcome of next cycle of impending periods or ovulation. Usually, fresh blood is red in color, once they comes in contact with air, they become brown color, which is again normal.

I advice you to:
- Take iron & vitamin supplements
- Consult your doctor if there is excess clots
- If needed go ahead with USG pelvis.
