How Should Red Sores That Break Out At The Genitals Be Treated And Cured While Being Sexually Active?
Hello I am 19 years old female and I am sexually active . I have had red sores popping up on my labia for about 2 weeks the most I’ve had at a time is 3 and they just fade away no scabbing over or anything , they aren’t in clusters eaither . I went to the doctor and they said I had chlamidya but they were unsure if i had herpes . They diagnosed me pills to take for herpes but they are still popping up what could cause sores on my labia

You are sexually active and are suffering from genital sores since 2 weeks and they are popping up even after taking the prescription medicine given by your treating doctor. You are suggested to take care of your hygiene, wear soft cotton clothes, Wash your private area with medicated soap. Do not touch, scratch or pop as it will cause spread. Abstain from sex or any sexual activity for a couple of days while you are being treated. Red sores on the private area commonly occur due to sexually transmitted diseases like herpes, syphilis, genital warts, chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Gynae, get STD tests done. Get nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT) done to confirm if you are suffering from chlamydia. If tests report show positive result for STIs, you will be accordingly treated with antibiotics (Doxycycline or Azithromycin) or antivirals. Stay away from addictions if any. Always perform protected sex, use condoms. Avoid multiple partners and stay away from addictions if any.
