Can Alcohol Be Consumed After Receiving Anti Rabies Shots?
Hello Doctor, I am Manish Shrestha. I am 30 Years old and I was bitten (not deep, Just a scratch) by a stray dog, a month ago. I am getting Anti Rabies Vaccine (only final one is left). I was told to avoid smoking and drinking during vaccination. I found different answer in this regard. Please, if you don t mind make me sure that whether there is any restriction in alcoholic drinks?

It is better to withhold alcohol for 24 hours. Some individuals rarely experience a condition called “disulphiram” reaction after consuming alcohol after a rabies shot.
