I am having a colonoscopy on Thursday. I know not to eat solid foods on Wed. But, I can not find my instructions and I thought the doctor said no fruits or vegetables on Tuesday. Could this be correct? I will call in the a.m., but I can t sleep thinking about this.

Yesterday I had a colonoscopy and the doctor said I had a suspicious looking tumor. He took biopsies and then ordered a barium CT. I asked if this was from my breast cancer in 2008. He said he didn t think so. I have an appointment on Tuesday to find out the results but he and his nurse said it would probably require surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Just wondering to what extent chemotherapy and radiation is compared to breast cancer treatment.

almost 2 years ago I had an ileostomy with complications. Right before the resection surgery a barium enema was performed to see if I had healed before the resection surgery. I have had barium enemas before but this was extrememly painful so much so that I was afraid that I was going to pass out. Now my GI doctor thinks it necessarythat I have a colonoscopy. I am a little fearful that complications like a rupture might occur. Do you have any advice?
