Heavy Menstrual Cycle, Hypoechoic Endometrium. Breast Feeding. On Primolut And Deviry. Will It Interfere With Lactation?

2months after my delivery , I suffered from heavy menstual flow, diagnosis was hyperechoic endometrium. Doc gave me deviry 10mg for 20 days. Afer stopping deviry I got my periods on 4th day which were in form of spotting for 7days. Again after a week I started spotting once in a day which continued for 9 days. Right now am on primolut n, from last 3days. My query is that am breast feeding, does primolut n has any effect on it?? Cos my primolut n dose is for 21 days doing a titre of 3-2-1 for 7-7-7 days. Will it interefere wid my lactation, is anything better than this??

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
According to some studies high dose of primulot n containing norethisterone may suppress the breast milk and alter the composition.
So better options are:
-After the spotting gets controlled with primulot n, you can go for low dose progesterone containing oral contraceptive pills.
-Using natural micronized progesterone.
You discuss these options with your doctor and follow her advice.
