Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic
Thanks for writing to us.

It is mentioned here that you have been suffering from severe hair fall for sometime and have consulted a dermatologist and undergone treatment for the same, and still the problem persist.

There can be several causes for both Hair fall and hair breakage- like stress, diet changes, medications, hormonal changes, medical conditions like anemia, thyroid problem, scalp infections, dandruff, etc

Harsh chemicals used, combing entangled hair vigorously, rough toweling and tying up hair too tightly can lead to damaged hair.

Inadequate nourishment, Environmental damage & pollution also affect hair strength.

Identify any of the above mentioned causes which is triggering of your hairfall. And the problem can be solved.

Here are few tips to reduce hair fall.

-Eat healthy food, add lots of green vegetables and eat lots of fruits and protein and iron rich food ( like Almonds, eggs, bananas, broccoli, carrot, cheese, spinach, oranges , milk)
-Massage your scalp with lukewarm oil for 15-20 minutes everyday to improve circulation, make sure you do not scratch your scalp with your nail as it can damage scalp skin.
-Use a mild shampoo and conditioner to wash your hair and make sure you do not apply conditioner on your scalp. It has to be applied only on hair strands.
-Consuming yoghurt/curd helps reduce hair fall.
-Do not comb your hair when it is wet.
-Dry your hair well before tying it up

Most importantly, do not panic and stress out on your hairfall. As stress leads to excess hairfall.
Try some relaxation exercise , eat healthy and visit a doctor to evaluate if you suffer from anemia or any other medical condition, which is causing hairfall.

Hope this helps you.

Dr Srija
