Heavy Bleeding, Large Clotting, CAT Scan Done For Painful Right Ovary, Put On Birth Control. Any Ideas ?

i just got a cat scan done for painful right ovary..i had a vaginal sonogram and they couldnt find the right ovary.. i also have heavy bleeding and very large clotting that are over three inches big. I also have had two periods a month for the last three months. Doctor put me on birth control pills to help regulate. No news from the cat scan yet . I am just really anxious now. YYYY@YYYY

Hi,
Your symptoms are suggestive of an ovarian dysfunction and an ovarian cyst or tumor can be excluded only after the scan result is out. Please go ahead with the medication as in whatever case, it helps to control the bleeding and regulate the cycles until further specific treatment is undertaken. Also, please use haematinics as you are likely to be anemic from so much blood loss and take diet rich in proteins and minerals. Hope your query is answered. Wish you good health.
