Heaviness in head. Feel dizzy and eyes blurred. What it could be?

Hi, since past few weeks, my head feels really heavy at times, and also I get the feeling that I am going to faint as my eye focus gets blurred. But when I have water in such circumstances, I feel little better. Though, the symptoms continues. I donot feel it all the time, but at times everyday. Can you get what could it be? and if that is of serious concern? -Rupali

Hi Rupali
Welcome to heathcare Magic!
Heaviness in head, dizziness etc are not diseases by themselves and they are due to some underlying problem.
It can be a simple thing like poor eye-sight or a high blood pressure or some other problem like depression, work related stress.
You should get a physical examination and eye sight and BP checked.
Wish you a great health!

General & Family Physician Dr. Shanthi.E's  Response
Hi Rupali,

Your symptoms seem quite concerning. One cause is because of a persistent low blood pressure. Anemia is a cause as well.

In your situation, I would suggest you to get a plain CT scan of the brain done to rule out any intracranial problems.

Hope this helps you.
