Hi,thanks for query.Your heart rate is on higher side. There could be several reasons for that. Please get your blood pressure checked by your doctor. Some times too much of caffine from tea/coffee,smoking or stress can lead to this.Nothing much to worry about, just visit your doctor once for routine check up.bye.

Hi well come to HCM.
Your heart rate persistantly remains on higher side even in resting conditions. There is a
need for evalution of it.Conditions like anxiety, hyper thyrois, anemia, fever etc can keep
persistant high heart rate if no cadiac problem is detected.Rule any organic cause for
higher heart rate and if no reason is found intially you may use beta blockers in lower
dose and later on better way is exercise with which you can develope higher stroke
volume of heart beat, which will help you to bring down your heart rate since heart
will have to beat lesser time to meet bodys demand of blood Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand your concern.

You have mentioned that your heart rate was confirmed to be 96 bpm on one particular occasion, and you also mention that it remains around 95-100 bpm while you are resting, all these readings are within normal limits, definitely on the higher side but nonetheless within normal limits, so what I feel is that you get anxious while you start counting your heart rate. So this is not a thing to worry about.

I advice you to be relaxed and don't worry too much about the heart rate. You can get the ECG repeated a few more times or else you can undergo a test called Holter monitoring, which records the ECG for 24 hours. And you can as well get a thyroid profile done. These tests will clear all your doubts.

I Hope I have answered all your queries.

Do get back to me if you have any further queries.

Regards.
