There is a very high risk involve but the doctors who perform them are usually pretty skilled so just keep praying. It's very noble and loving of you to want to give your life to save hers. I too will say a prayer for her and for you. *Big Hug*

Hi, I m a 16 year old girl who is currently researching for information on transplants. I was just wondering what organs and tissues have been successfully transplanted since 1950? and also what are the problems of having transplants e.g. a heart transplant. Any answers are appreciated :) Thankyou x

With previous 4 bypass surgeries 10 years ago and today 3 main arteries are 100 percent closed with 2 bypass remaining open at 50-60% closed. I have visited multiple doctors and my diabetes seems to complicate the issue. The diabetes is currently under control and my weight is 145 and I am 53 years old. Never smoke. Never drink. I am heading to Stanford medical center tomorrow for a check up and other tests to see what my options are. I am thinking a heart transplant will be recommended. If a transplant is recommended what are my options and chance of success? Also, are there any other recommendations? Thank you very much in advance.

My mother has fought cancer for the past 15 or more years. First was anal cancer, she went thru radiation and chemo and in remission. Then she had to have an artery from her leg placed for her heart..? Then she was diagnosed with breast cancer...they did a mesectomy (probably spelled that wrong) and she had chemo treatment but no radiation. She never improved. weightwise after the first cancer/radiation. Now, today she went to the doctor and she has heart cancer. They cannot treat it aggressively b/c of her deteriorating health, she only weighs 80-82 lbs...5'6" and always weighed around 130's..She is going to go start chemo treatments this next week and go from there...however, her doctor says that this will not go away...My mom is 54..What type of treatments are there for this heart cancer and how, if she has been taking chemo pills and with all of the chemo treatments..how is this happening? What is the survival rate for this:?

he my name is Samantha Gilligan i am 20 years old and about 5 ft 4-5 inch s. I am writing because i am concerned about my health, i have been not feeling like i want to eat recently and had short of breathe when i do eat so its hard. I have also started to have shortage of breathe not only when i eat but through the day. I have been looking up reasons on the Internet to why i could have this happen to me and very concerned about the causes such as heart failure , heart cancer, lung cancer and other reasons i am very scared but don t know what to do as i have been the docs in the past about this and all they say is nothing is wrong. I am scared that i might have a serious condition that is unnoticeable to them and could really harm my body as time passes. Please if any of you could help i would be so grateful. Thank you for your time samantha
