Is there any way to reduce the risk of Heart Disease? After Billy Mays recent heart disease-related death, I started thinking about my OWN heart, and how I might be susceptible to heart problems later on. My dad and his dad have had multiple heart attacks each, so I ve got a hereditary issue there. But is there any way to reduce the risk of heart disease? Or should I plan on dying by the time I m 50?

if im not fat and dont have family history of it, can i still get heart disease? are there other ways to get heart disease, im thin, and have no history of heart disease, but i have eaten alot of cholesterol in my life, but not to the point of obesity; could that be enough to cause heart disease? yes but i thought the arteries were blocked by fat, so why wouldnt you have to be fat to get it?

Okay..I eat quite alot of unhealthy food - like food high in sugar, fat and salt (pizza, fried chicken, etc), and I get little or no exercise, plus I drink Coca-Cola like everyday. I am not overweight because the medicine I take for ADHD (concerta) reduces my appetite. Oh, and I m 17. Am I putting myself at risk of heart disease? There s no family history of heart problems.
