Hi Vasudha, Welcome to HCM. You have already ruled out two of the many causes which can lead to headache. There are numerous causes which can result in headache, commonest being tension headache, followed by Migraine, ear problem, teeth problem, high blood pressure etc. Any brain pathology also presents as headache. A doctor cannot arrive at a diagnosis of the cause for headache, unless detailed investigations are done including clinical examination. Depending on the findings of the investigations, proper treatment can be started. Prescribing pain killers is the easiest thing to do which gives temporary relief. For better treatment the cause has to be found out. Wish you all the best.
