Headache, Seeing Lights. Had Adenoids Removed. Aura Migraines?

My son has had reoccurring headaches since he can remember and have took him to the doctor back and forth! He is now nine and explains better about how he feels. He says he sees lights and shadows or like a film over his eyes sometimes. He had adenoids out and allergies tested but nothing came up. I looked this up and it could be aura migranes? What does this mean?
