Headache, Metallic Taste In Mouth, Brown Cervical Mucus After Childbirth. Pregnant?

I had my son on April 8th, pumped for 6 weeks, and had my first period at 11 weeks postpartum. I am on day 42 of my current/first full cycle (which is long for me but to be expected since I gave birth recently) and am pretty sure I ovulated on day 33 (had LH surge on day 32 and cervical mucus was clear/stretchy day 32,33, & 34). I have had mild headaches for almost a week now and a metallic taste, and today I've had some brownish blood in my cervical mucus, but do not feel like I am starting my period (which I didn't really expect until the weekend). Is it too soon to take a pregnancy test? Are these signs that I could be pregnant? Thank you!!!

You have already tested for ovulation. Now, if you had unprotected sex in days around ovulation,all the chances that your feeling of being pregnant may be true.
Though your signs suggest possibility of early pregnancy The mucus + blood may be implantation bleeding.), but the fact that you have just delivered, lactating.& Menstrual irregularities are common in such condition also remains.
I would advice you to go for the test & get rid of the tension.
Blood (HCG) preg. test confirms pregnancy in 8 days of ovulation.So,if you have coceived on day 34th ,the test should give the correct result by today.
