Headache Followed By Nasal Bleeding, Memory Lapse. Cause?

I have a question regarding my husband, last night he said that after I fell asleep he got a really bad headache and his head felt wet and so he felt it and he said there was blood on his hands and his nose had started bleeding as well. Also there is a lapse in memory , he felt as though he fell asleep but there is proof that he did not. We are very confused and very concerned.
