Head Injury, Nail Pierced Forehead, Visible Vein, Throbbing Pain, Headache. Pain Management?
Hi -I got hit on the top of my head by a very heavy door snd a nail slightly pierced the top part of my forehead . Since them I have a vein in my forehead that sticks out and often throbs and I suffer from headaches frequently. I was not concussed when I had my accident-why is my forehead still sore almost two years later?
Hi
Did you not see any doctor at that time?
I suppose you had taken T.T. injection then.
Do you have history of migraine?
Now how bad is your headache? Is there any episode of ongoing high fever ,vomiting, drowsiness , fits, weakness of limbs ? About that throbbing vein that you mention you need to get it evaluated rather than just resorting to pain management.
Investigation suggested:
MRI brain with contrast
Complete blood count
Just get these done and see a Neurosurgeon.
Get a proper neurological examination done and then take a call on whether you need any
MR Venogram ( MRV ) to be done.
Rest keep yourself adequately hydrated with plenty of fluid intake.
For headache first see if paracetamol helps rather than resorting to strong medications.
Thanks.
