Head Injury, Bleeding, Clear Fluid Discharge, Deep Dent Formed, Blurred Vision On Touching It. Serious Symptoms?
Hi, my name is XXXXX. 6 years ago I was hit severely in the head with a metal bar. It bled and a little bit of clear fluid came out. I now have a deep dent in the back of my head. It is very soft in that area and when I slightly push on it, my vision goes a bit blurry . I am wondering if it is too late to do something about it and if it sounds serious?
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
You should immediately consult with general surgeon/ neurosurgeon and should go for thorough check up.
Have you undergone CT scan of head previously at the time of injury?
Severe injury at back of head may cause fracture in bone with exposure of brain but this a very serious condition and it should not be taken lightly.
Although possibility appears to be low.
Loss of vision with touching nay also cause seizure activity in brain.
You should go for CT/ MRI scan of head for better clarification.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
