Head Feels Bruised, But No Lump And Discolouration.

I fell and hit my head of the pavement, hard, about a month ago. I was bruised quite a bit ... had a serious black eye. Went to the ER and had an MRI. Everything looked good and nothing was broken. I followed the directions for the recoup time. Today where I hit my forehead is feeling bruised again. It is tender to the touch as if I had a bruise there. There is no lump and no discoloration. It appears normal.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
This classically occurs due to the nerves underneath the original bruise have now been showing the post-traumatic neuropathy..
Amitryptiline or gabapentin may help but needs the prescription of your Doctor.
I find this answer helpful
