Hbsag Positive During Pregnancy. Is It So Bad ?

I am 4 months pregnant and hbsag +ve any risk to the child ? any precautions ? pls advise

Hi,
Since you are already pregnant there is not much one can do at this point.There is a chance of infection from the mother to child during birth.Please inform the doctor about your status.After birth there is an immunoglobulin that is advised by the paediatrician for the baby.As far as precautions go,this is spread by blood and bodily fluids so be careful of that.
