General & Family Physician, Dr. Jay Patel's Response
Hi,
Based on the information it seems as if the food poisoning was cause for the vomiting and diarrhea.
But the real real question and worry some matter is "small amount of BLOOD IN VOMIT"
It seem that you may be suffering from sub clinical peptic ulcer. Peptic ulcer is mainly caused by a bacteria which stays in stomach.
ADVICE:
Consult gastroenterology, and get endoscopic examination of your stomach and esophagus, and ulcer may need some repairs or some medication may help to heel, but need endoscopic examination to confirm the diagnosis and may need breath test to be done.
Hope it helps,
Dr. JAY PATEL
