Having Thyroid, Taking Ocacare And Thyrox 25 Mg, Missing Periods. Suggestion?
HI Doctor, My wife has been suggested Ocacare forte last month. she is also having thyroid and Dr. Suggested to take 25mg thyroxi tabs for her. It was very 1st time when she missed her period and 10 days lat but still waiting for periods. we have been married last year ( Me 28 yrs my wife 25 yrs old). kindly give sopme giudlines and why she is suggested by Ovacare fore (1+)1) combination tablets. every month one ovum(egg) gets released from the ovary with the help of several hormonal changes occurring in d body , this egg when gets fertilized with sperm gets implanted in uterus n pregnancy occurs. one of these hormone which helps this process is thyroid. hypothyroidism (reduced thyroid, as in ur case) may hinder her normal ovulation. ovacare tablet is claimed to improve ovulation.hence suspecting ovulation problem in her, ur gynec must ev prescribed ovacare. but 1st of all get her urine pregnancy test done as she has missed her period. if negative she can take withdrawal pills to get periods n a positive test vil confirm pregnancy. so all d best!
