Hello, Welcome to HCM. Hypothyroidism is often associated with menstrual irregularities, weight gain, hoarseness, skin complaints and many a times facial hair growth. Low thyroid hormone levels can interfere with the proper functioning of the female reproductive system by affecting ovulation. Thereby causing irregular menstrual cycles, either as amenorrhea, oligomenorrhea or metrorrhagia. Conservative treatment measures usually include medicines to substitute the deficient thyroid hormones and do nothing to take care of the other associated disorders.
