Having Sickness During Pregnancy, Nausea, Fatigue, Loss Of Apetite, Prescribed Pregnidoxin. Will It Help?

Hello Doctor. I am 13 weeks pregnant and expecting my second child. LMP: 02-06-12 I am facing a lot of sickness during this pregnancy, which was not in the previous one. I don t want to eat anything for the whole day and feel fatigued for the whole time. I was given Doxinate, which was replaced by Karyb-D during my last visit. Karyb-D even made my situation worse and I became more sick. Now, I took another opinion and doctor suggested Pregnidoxin for me (BD). I just started it today. Apart from it, she suggested Vomikind-MD (SOS) for excessive nausea . I m in a troubled situation and getting worst time during my first trimester. I feel low and emotionally imbalanced during the whole time. Please help and let me know that Pregidoxin will help me or not & for how long I will remain in such condition. Regards, Sumedha

Hello,

Welcome to HCM,

Your symptoms will gradually diminish after first trimester.

Till then i advise you to follow certain things:
Eat small, frequent meals and snacks throughout the day so your stomach is never empty.
Keep biscuits or crackers by your bed ,When you first wake up, nibble a few crackers and then rest for 20 to 30 minutes before getting up.
Avoid fatty foods, and stick to bland diet.
Drink plenty of fluids.
Can take anti acidity drugs to prevent acid reflux.

Continue the tablet prescribed by your doctor , its an anti histamine to prevent nausea and vomiting.

Regards

Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. Your condition is called hyper emisis gravidarum. It is a condition more than the morning sick ness.
It may continue through out the pregnancy but dont worry it is only a possibility.
It usually starts due to excess of oestrogen in the blood. it usually will be
more between 6to 12 weeks of pregnancy hence it happens. When oestrogen
continues to rise the vomitings continues.
Treatment part infusion of fluids to cover dehydration and lack of
nutrition. second thing is injection polybion and antiemitics. So i advise you
to consult a physician for treatment.
Once the vomitings are controlled practice diversion procedures like
meditation reading hearing music etc.
Follow some diet recomendations as take menu which you like more.
and also green leafy vegetables pulses fruits and juices. Wishing for a
quick recovery and thanks for calling.
