Having Sharp Painful Hands. Safest Way To Relieve Pain?

Silly as it may sound, I was pulling Rice Krispie treats that were old and stuck in a dish. I felt a little twinge but over the next two days the middle of my hand hurts like crazy, especially when touched, the sharp pain when not touched occurs when I try to stretch my fingers back, from the base of my middle finger down to my wrist, but it lingers without doing anything. I may have pulled a tendon, but nothing like this has ever happened, especially considering the possible cause. What is the best and safest way to relieve the pain, and exercise for recovery.

Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

I have read complete details of your question.

Your details show that most probably you had strain of your tendons at your hand.

You should do following to have relief in this-

-Give rest to your hand.

-Apply an Ace bandage from above downwards from hand to forarm.

-Take a mild analgesic like advil.

-Do warm fomentation at least three times a day.

This all will help in reliving your problem in next 5-7 days.

Hope this all will help you.

With best wishes.
