Having prolonged periods. Experiencing cramps, passing clots. Reason?
My period arrived 1 week early and was a normal period (for me). It seemed to end and then on Monday I began very light bleeding again. During this time, I am experiencing slight cramps and occasionally tiny clots. I am still bleeding now and it seems to become worse when I am in stressful conditions (ie: I work full time and I return home to my partner and 6 children, It seems to worsen during the evenings when at home) I will be 37 years old on Monday and I have not experienced this before. I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks gestation 6 months ago and my periods and cycle were completely normal until now.
Hi, prolonged periods associated with cramps and a history of miscarriage could be suggestive of uterine fibroid but, however, it is necessary to rule out any hormonal imbalance. You need to do a pelvic ultrasound and plasma level of some hormones
