Having Period Pain Due To Pelvicendometasis. Why Period Is Not Stopping After Inserting Mirena?

my wife suffering pain at the time of period. doctor says its a case of pelvicendometasis,doctor try to stop the period by oral medicine meprate- registrone 5mg. period stop 4 months.after completion doctor sugest for insert mirena, and told it will start work with in a month. but sorry to say that period is going last 40 days. please advice us to relief the same. age of patient 44 years.

Mirena can take several months to exert its effect. Please be patient. Your wife can go back to her doctor for a prescription of a little bit of estrogen to counteract the bleeding that she's experiencing. But even if she does nothing it should resolve and long-term I think she will be happy with the Mirena.
