Hi and welcomet.
This chronic and multifactorial condition and treatment is systemic and local. YOu should treat diabetes , blood pressure and infection if occurs.Diuretic wont help if the cause os wellings is varicouse veins. infections are more common in diabetic and in venous insufficiency. You should do doppler ultarsounds to see the degree of venous stasis. If elastic socks and conservative treatment isnt enough you should consider surgical proceddure called saphenal stripping. till taht you should avoid long standing, kepp your legs elevated while laying. If you notice redness, pai, fever, ulcers or secretion you should visit doctor because this is a sign of inflamamtion. Wish you good health.
