Having large lump on inner thigh muscle, hurting. Applying heat. Why is it not healing?

A large lump has formed on my inner thigh muscle, and has been hurting for going on 5 weeks. There is no bruising, and I have to keep it wrapped in an ace bandage and I apply heat as much as possible. This was caused by getting up too fast with all my weight on my left leg, causing a pulled muscle, or thats what I though. Why isn t this healing and what should I do?
