Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

If your periods are becoming irregular then it is likely that you are in perimenopause. This is the period before menopause when the body goes through transition.

Estrogen replacement creams would help to reduce the symptoms of estrogen deficiency such as vaginal dryness or hot flashes.
The form that you were given is considered to be bioidentical.

Estrogen replacement is normally combined with progesterone to prevent or reduce the chance of changes to the uterus.

I hope this helps

Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

From the presentation described, you are indeed undergoing menopause. Estrogen creams are advised for various reasons, they replace the deficiency of the hormone, help in producing lubrication that can help retain sexual intercourse, prevent infections; and various other beneficial reasons.

Progesterone would be required and advised in women intending on getting pregnant, which is not required in your case I am assuming.

Yes, the estrogen creams are bioidentical, and created in the laboratory after years of research. If life can be created in the laboratory and successfully, then why not a few hormones. Do not worry, please use the cream, and go through your menopause uneventfully. Wishing you a beautiful life ahead.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
