Having Hot Flushes Followed By Chills, On Medication For Fibromyalgia, Depression. Is It Normal ?

I am a 45 year old woman having hot flushes followed by chills, so I'm thinking onset of menopause. Is it normal that this happens only when I'm anxious, upset or faced with a difficult decision? On good days I have no symptoms, as soon as I get stressed, the symptoms return.
I am currently taking medication for Fibromyalgia and depression (Effexor, Amitriplyline, Iboprofen)
Thanks
