Having Hives On Legs, Itching, Swelling, Hot To Touch. Took Antihistamines, Not Helping. Give Me Suggestion

Hi, I have been having what looks like hives appearing on my lower legs. This has been going on for about 2 yrs now. It is completely random when it happens and I have noticed that I don't get them during the summer only. When I get them, it may be 1 or more at a time and they get really itchy. The make the area swell quite a bit. ex. my one knee may be twice the size of the other one because of it. They are hot to the touch and after a while they start creating pain. Applying something cold to it only gives it a small amount of relief and adding anything warm or hot just makes them more itchy. I have already tried antihistamines like benadryl and reactine and nothing has worked. Any ideas???

Hi,
Thanks for asking query on health care magic.
The drug of choice for hives is hydoxygene hydrochloride (Atarax) to be taken twice daily.
Apply Calamine lotion locally twice daily.
Steroid may be added if there is no response to above treatment.
Usually improvement occurs within a week.
If no improvement Please consult dermatologist.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose.
Please feel free to ask me any more queries.
Take care
