Having Headache With Little High Pressure. Any Serous Problem?

I have been having these headaches for the past two weeks and a nurse friend ask me to check my blood pressure .I did today and it was 144/84,the heart beat was 64 bpm.I m 36 years old and my family doesnt have a history of high blood preesure,except my mum who had it at age 60.I have been stressing about my business a bit but thats not the first time.Can you advice me.

After reading your post, it seems that your slight increase in blood pressure might be stress related.
Still you should monitor your blood pressure reading by recording them daily twice a day for about 3-5 days.

You should get yourself investigated for :-
1. Lipid Profile.
2. Thyroid Profile.
3. Renal profile.
4. ECG.

Following precautions will be helpful :-
1. Have a salt restricted diet.
2. Avoid oily foods.
3. Doing yoga and meditation will help to deal with stress in a positive approach.

Your present blood pressure reading indicates that your blood pressure can be controlled without medicine by following the above precautions.
Reports of your investigations and readings of your blood pressure will help in planning your treatment in a better way.
