Hi, thanks for asking in Healthcare Magic.
Head ache with blurred vision indicates increased intracranial pressure and needs to be investigated immediately. Possible causes could be serious or simple.
More serious causes that needs immediate attention are
1. Malignant hypertension (uncontrolled BP).
2. Subarachnoid hemorrhage (Damage to blood vessels in brain).
3. Brain Tumors.
Less serious causes are
1. Migraine
2. Glaucoma, iritis (inflammation of iris)
3. Referred pain of sinusitis and ear infection.
4. Pain due to muscle spasm of head and neck due to emotional tension.
Eye and ear problems will cause only unilateral (single side) headache on the affected side. But your husband has diffuse headache.
Investigations like CT scan, X-Rays, MRI, EEG (for vascular headache) will help in diagnosis. So ifconsult your treating Doctor immediately.

This pain you describe is likely due to Migraine or Temporal arteritis as suggested by the claudicating jaw pain. Please visit a Neurologist who can point you in the right direction.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for posting your query.
Headache, blurred vision, pressure in temples and jaw pain suggests Temporal Arteritis. It is a condition in which the temporal arteries, which supply blood to the head and brain, become inflamed or damaged.
You are advised to visit your doctor and get tests like CBC,ESR,C-reactive protein, CT or MRI. Once it is diagnosed then your doctor may prescribe asprin and corticosteroid therapy.
The following measures are generally recommended as part of treatment.
taking a calcium and vitamin D supplement
quitting smoking
doing exercise like walking
Hope it helps.
Take Care!
