This type of inflammation is caused by autoimmune inflammation where host immune system destroys intestine cells. This causes severe inflammation and results with blood in stool, loose stools, weight lost. When not controlled, this disease can lead to bowels obstruction, intestine fissures. That is why it is important for you to get histopathological result of samples which has been collected during the colonoscopy. If you will get a diagnose, you can be qualified for biological treatment which gives great results and disease can be controlled.
