Hi there,
Thank you for choosing HCM for your query. Will be glad to help.
There are several possibilities here based on the duration of her
fever, location and severity of her pain, color of her vomit and whether she gets lethargic after
vomiting or
abdominal pain.
I would suggest for you not to wait and for her to be seen by her
pediatrician soon to find out the cause of her fever, pain and vomiting. She may need blood tests/Xray of her abdomen, urine analysis and culture and maybe an
ultrasound of her abdomen based on what her doctor finds on his history and examination.
If she has any of the below mentioned warning signs- then take her to the doctor or the ER immediately.
1. Her fever is recurring/ for prolonged duration/high.
2. Vomiting is green or bile colored or has any blood in it.
3. Abdominal pain is severe- or she gets pale or lethargic after every episode of her abdominal pain or vomiting.
4. If she has not had a bowel movement or is not passing gas.
5. If she seems lethargic/pale or has decreased urination.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
Regards,
Dr. Sumeet.
