Having Episodes Of Hypoglycemia With Severe Headache. What Is The Required Treatment?

I am having episodes of hypoglycemia . My m.d. put me on hydrocortisone and that helps, but not enough. I have hightened senses during low blood surgar episodes as well but have never been low enough to go into a coma . If i go to sleep and my blood sugar goes low it wakes me up. sometimes I wake up and the bed is all wet but blood sugar has resolved on its own. I am a 48 year old female. I am also having severe headaches.

hi, well to avoid the episodes of hypoglycemia you should be carrying sweets in your handbag if you feel you are about to get hypoglycemic then you have the sweet, to avoid hypoglycemia you need to be vigilant on the diet you are taking for a diabetic you are supposed to eat like a baby that is you are supposed to take your three meals and have a snack at 10am and 4pm and before you go to sleep you take a glass of milk in order for you not to wake up in the middle of night to eat as milk will keep your sugars controlled.
another thing the medications you are taking they need to be adjusted because of hypoglycemia you need to see your physician and nutritionist to adjust and teach you the food to take.
for the headaches you need to get the complications of diabetes ruled out, i highly suggest you should go see your physician.
hope have helped to answer your query.
