Having Constipation. Feeling Sore Anus After Bowel Movement. Looking For Home Treatment

After having constipation for a couple of days, I had a bowel movement yesterday and then afterwards became really sore around the anus and it feels like a little lump of flesh that wasn t there before can be felt now. Do you know of a remedy that I can do at home? It is not bleeding and has not been, but it does cause considerable discomfort in pain. Tks.

Dear doglover,
Sorry to hear about your problem. Especially, straining to have a bowel
movement can make piles or hemorrhoids to appear. This is what looks
like flesh. Very rarely prolapse of the lower rectum can happen but your's
more likely piles. I would recommend some stool softners and lots of liquids,
water. Sitting in warm water bath (Sitz bath) for 20-25 minutes , couple of
times a day will help. Also , over the counter hemorrhoid cream containing
hydrocortisone (Ask your pharmacist) 2-3 times a day , applying outside
the anus would help.
Good luck
