Having Burps Tasting Like Rotten Eggs, Flatulence, Severe Diarrhea. Stomach Pain, Vomitings After Having Pepto Bismal. Food Poisoning?

About 2-3 days ago, my husband starting having burps that tasted like Rotten Eggs. This lasted a full two days! Then, he suddenly got severe diarrhea that lasted all night, with tons of burps and flatulence. He also had extreme nausea. He finally took some Pepto Bismal, thinking that would help. But instead, he immediately had severe burning stomach pain and vomited. The diarrhea is the worst I have ever seen. He was so sick, I almost took him to the hospital. All of this happened Saturday night. It is now Monday. He no longer has diarrhea or vomiting, but still does not feel like eating. Stomach stills feels rather sick. Does this sound like food poisoning?
