Pregnancy in Takayasu arteritis causes lot of complications both maternal and fetal. There will be hypertension, cardiac complication, IUGR and even death to the extreme. Hence, it needs multidisciplinary action when pregnancy occurs in patients with TAK. It needs very careful monitoring throughout the pregnancy. Planning pregnancy totally depends on her health condition at that time. Everything is possible nowadays with lot of newer inventions.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
