Having Acidity. Taking Omez Tablet. What Is Permanent Cure?

Hi Doctor, I am Deepak, 31 year old. I have acidity problem and every week I have to take two Omez tablets which will keep it away for 2-3 days. I have this problem since more than 7 years, but since last 2years I have been used to Omez tablet. I eat more non-veg food and spicy food. I also work out in Gym everyday for atleast 1 hour since last 10 years. it is difficult for me to resist non-veg so could you please let me know if there are any other ways to reduce acidity or cure permanently. Thanks in Advance.

Hello,
Thanks for writing to healthcaremagic.

I would advise that you can eat non-veg in moderation. Decrease the intake of spice & oil in your diet. It is preferable to have boiled or grilled nonveg food that will help to reduce your acidity.
Try to improve your lifestyle.
Eat meal 2 hours before sleep at night. Dont lie down immediately after having food.Have a light dinner at night. Have small frequent meals through out the day instead of having more gap in between meals.
Reduce intake of tea or coffee, instead you can start drinking green tea.
Eat more of salads & fruits.
Drink more water.
Do exercise daily for atleast 20 minutes per day.
Follow all this, it will surely help you. Be consistent in your efforts.
Take care.
