Having BP And Family History Of Cardiac Deaths. Taking Medicines CARSAL, Eazyday, Vestral MR, Nitromint, Carsal, Vestral MR, Nitromint, Ascard, Rolip. Suggestions?

i am 56-Y. taking medicines. 1-morning , CARSAL-25mg, Eazyday 25-mg, Vestral MR, Nitromint.
2-Evening Carsal-25mg, Vestral MR, Nitromint, Ascard 75-mg, Rolip 5mg. I have BP with strong family history of Cardiac deaths.
I am using these medicines for the last 2-years. My health is ok with these medicines. Please advise me, if any change in medicines is necessary.

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

You are taking cardiac drugs and your BP is under control, as you have strong family history of cardiac death,you should consult your Cardiologist for optimum therapy in your case instead of Vestral alternative Ranolazine is better molecule,.You must be investigated by proper investigations like ECG, Echocardiography,TMT and if required Coronary angiography and treatment accordingly may be angioplasty or CABG.

If there is any evidence of irregular heart rate then Holter monitoring and EPS ( Elcto physiological study ) will guide for any therapy required.

If there is any cardiac failure or requirement is there resynchronization with placement of ICD may be performed.

To prevent cardiac death these are different modalities, not everything is required in each patient.

Please follow healthy lifestyle and take your regular treatment, follow up with your cardiologist.

By chance if you smoke or drink please quit both.Please take care of diet also keep optimum Lipid profile.

Take regular physical exercise.
