Have Very Wavy Hair. Had Straight Hair Earlier. What Is The Cause And The Remedy?
I have had straight hair to slightly wavy hair for 60 years. It has changed in the last 3 years and now does not even look like my hair - it is very wavy. It forms small even waves or perfect cork screws. Even though I have lost nine tenths of it one would not know because it is so curly that this adds fake volume. It is freaking me out because it must be due to something. Some deficiency or metabolic disorder.
It appears that the adage "grass is always greener on the other side" applies to you ;-)
Relax..i understand your frustration with the curly hair. Sure, cosmetology is advanced & lots of chemical & mechanical straighteners' exist & lots of parlours' make their livings on this. However, bear in mind that any straightening et al will over a period of time (months to years) run the risk of giving you brittle hair & cause unnecessary 'hair fall'.
Deficiency of vitamins & trace elements does not necessarily manifest this way but the best assessment will be to go to a 'trichologist' in your area & have a strand assessed for all eventualities.
A diet rich in trace elements such as biotin, silica et al may just help you as oposed to medications. Google is a helpful tool nowadays to assist your individual palate provided one knows what you are looking for.
Good luck & trust have pointed you in the right direction. Cheers!
