Have very hot feet at night that disturbs sleep. Reasons ?

I regularly have very hot feet at night that stops me from sleeping. I often get up and run them under cold water or wrap them in a wet towel so that I have more chance of getting back to sleep. It drives me insane. I dont have diabetes or any other disease that I am aware of, am in my early twenties and of good general health.

Although this  is a common problem faced by people with diabetes, because of nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy),but i am ruling it out since you have already stated its absence.
Other causes of burning feet can be ....
1... Mechanical load on feet specially with people who are standing almost entire day.
2.. If you are overweight.
3... If you are consuming excessive alcohol.
4...people having hot and sweaty feet.
5... Local fungal infections of feet.
6.. Due to some chemical in socks or shoes
7...VIT B deficiencies like deficiency of B1,B2, B3, B5,B6, B12

Wear cotton socks, change your shoes and consult a doctor to identify the cause and get proper treatment.
