Have To Take Medication For High BP, Diabetes, Cholesterol, Rheumatoid Arthritis. Can I Take Off Antidepressants?

I am being taken off Effexor 300 mg a day. I am down to 75 mg a day and will soon by off these meds. I am also on Lamotrigine 250 mg a day. I requested to be taken off these meds also which my doctor refused to do. I am desperately wanting to be taken off all antidepressants because I have to take medication for high blood pressure, diabetes, bad cholesterol, and will probably have to take pain pills for rheumatoid arthritis which I've been diagnosed with recently. I don't want to take so much medication and I think the only option I have is to go off the antidepressants. I would like to know if it's possible for me to be taken off the Lamotrigine.

Welcome to HCM,
I am sure, your doctor will take you off also for Lamotrigine gradually. As you have been just weaned off of Effexor, may be your Doctor wants to monitor you.
If you want to stop antidepressant, it shows that you are feeling confident, and no more depressed, but we can't stop antidepressant medication abruptly.
