Have Tendonitis In Shoulder. On Physiotherapy. Prescribed Tendocare. Does It Have Side Effects?
Hi have tendonitis in my right shoulder and do strengthening exercises and some physiotherapy as well . I exercise regularly. Sometimes the pain just increases. I have been prescribed tendocare for 15 days and Ecod for a month. Does Tendocare have any side effects? I am a long distance runner and need to keep my shoulder pain free!
Tendocare doesn't produce any significant side effects over a short term course. It will have beneficial effects on the healing of the soft tissues in and around the joint.
The general guidelines of treatment includes REST, ICE PACKING and Over the counter pain killers like Motrin or Aleve.
Sometimes an injection of corticosteroid around the inflammed tendon will provide good pain relief.
At times, Physiotherapy will also work by undergoing a specific exercise programme designed to stretch and strengthen the affected muscle tendon unit.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
